$5000 Budget - Page 6

Thread Starter
I cant build multiple rigs, as it wouldn't be feasible in the running of the business...The capital grant is for the day to day running of the business, 3 PCs for one employee will get shut down...I have to show where all the money is getting spent...I have thought of multiple, but I realised I wouldn't get the money...

imo it would be much MORE feasible for the business... since you have actual showcases of your products. You can easily argue that you need a couple of servers for your business (one data server, one Internet server.. .etc)

Oh, And btw... since this is for a business, can't you get the parts at wholesale, avoiding VAT?

wildfire99: why not post it here... this is where the thread is now (I am lazy.. I rarely go back to page one when a thread is in progress... )

In all honesty it seems as if he's only trying to hock $5000 computers or is offering some other service where a key selling point would be to have a very fast system (in any and all respects).

@OP, If it's not a really unique or obscure business let us in on it. It may help in getting you that $5000 very spent .

Computer GRAND TOTAL $5100

Alright now i have a few things to add and ill do it in bullet form so it looks cooler
  1. I think you should go for the armor while its not the nicest case in the world its one of the top ones and it will be more cool looking to the general public than any nicer case out their cept maybe a soldam and good luck getting one of them.
  2. Get 2 GTX280's i no their not out yet but godam if your going to spend this much wait 3 weeks and get THE BEST.
  3. I threw in the 2 extra dvd burners so it looks cooler only 60 bucks more and u fill out 2 more slots.
  4. I no your a lynux enthusiast but if this is a showcase rig i highly suggest you go vista.
  5. Random light crap is funds for CCFL's and LED's to make the case more sexy looking
  6. I suggest you go watercooling i didnt put it in the budget but it will cost you about 600 bucks, cool your CPU and both GPU's. For more info on this i suggest you make a thread in the Watercooling Area.
  7. I no i went overbudget a bit but if your gona spend 5k go overboard even after watercooling this will only be 700 over and at $5700 dollars you will have the best frikin rig this side of Rapture.
  8. If you dont want to spend $700 bucks over than at least consider my suggestions i spent like 20 minutes+ making this post!

Anyhow good luck man i envy and congradulate you on your chance to put together a rig of this caliber. Im sure whatever happens if you get to build this youll be one happy mother(beep). If anyone has any questions on why i made any choices or just general questions i subed the thread.

Very nice also. (I took the liberty of making your post look a little nicer )

And I don't think you're over budget. He has 5,000 EUROs, and I already stated that there are quite some price differences in his favor (CPU 20%, and the RAM I picked a whopping 64%). Thus, he'll probably end up spending about 4,300 EUROs or so on your picks. Well done.

There are a couple high-end $5,000 rigs on the table now. I choose solid state and TRI-SLI, while Wildfire took another approach. Both are valid, and strong rigs.

Have fun.

I didn't use any superpowers

Just the little icons on top of the window when you make a post You see the B, I, U, then the identation ones, and then there are two you can use to make a list (the 1..2..3, and the one with the little blocks for a bulleted list).

Just make your list (without any numbers or bullets) and then select the list, and hit either the numbered list button, or the bulleted list button. Simple as pie .

Hhahahaha. The 700Euros is for the watercooling

That's unfair. Customers wouldn't know what they are getting themselves into.

"Excuse me sir, that tube you just pulled off, you know the one letting the water leak all over, thats gonna cost about 5000$."
