I'd personally rather have a pair of Barracudas than one of those drives

Also,

2.5"...

Someone put one of these in a laptop...

At this price you might as well just go with 15k SAS drives.

I'm tempted to get two of these in Raid-0. I love my WD 6400AAKS drives but I do miss my Raptors. The slower access times of the 6400AAKS drives are sometimes noticed believe it or not.

worth evey penny!!!! NOT. over priced. they would be nice to play around with though but im fine with my Seagates 7200.10

how long do you think it will be till solid state becomes as cheap as normal HDD

15K SAS drives cost twice as much for 1/2 the storage. The pricing points aren't even ballpark close. (Plus cost of SAS controller)

Worth is subjective. I rather have Raptors than a 7200.10. I use a file server for my data and only care about performance on my main system.

SSD will be dollar/storage comparable to HDs in probably 3-5 years.
Once again...

LOL

I don't know if that was meant to be funny, but it sure was. (And very true.)

You, and anyone else that appreciates the general concept of price-to-performance.
