TX2000z for college deal - should I?

Aight people here goes. I was wicked pumped to get an Atom-based EEE PC for college mobility, but when I saw the $650 price tag, I was very sad. More importantly, when I started seeing some benchmarks trickle in, I was devastated. Apparently it just doesn't perform well at all, and for the price that's ridiculous.

FAST FORWARD it's Memorial Day and HP is having a sale. Not the regular sale, but an HP employees-only sale! Woo hoo! My mother works for HP. Here is what I configured:

TX2000Z
Vista Home Premium 32-bit
12.1" touchscreen 1280x800
Turion Mobile X2 TL-68 2.4GHz - Gold Edition (as good as it will get)
2GB of RAM
250GB HDD (will upgrade to SSD some time)
Lightscribe DVD/CD burner blah blah blah the best they offer
8-cell battery
Wireless AGB plus Bluetooth
regular warranty - I'm careful with my things
~$700

Easy question - should I get it?

That's a great deal! I got my HP laptop through EPP as well, not as good of a configuration and it cost more!! I wish my mom worked for HP lol. I hope you love that laptop, mine has treated me very well.
