CRT Monitor rattling or something.....?

Right.
So, I have an NEC MultiSync FE700+ CRT monitor.
Question, is it bad if I can hear it "rattling" on the inside?
It only happens when I play a low note on my stereo.

No that seemed to happen with mine too, although, mine would just occasionally rattle when it was on a higher frequency, if it doesn't hurt your eyes, and the rattling is really getting on your nerves, try turning it down to 75, or 70, it may help.

What do you mean?
My monitor refresh rate is set to 60Hz.
The bass note that's played when the monitor slightly messes up is in the 20Hz region.
Here's a link to the sound...

Wow a crt at 60hz yours eyes must bleed. I cant stand using below 75, mine can do 85 which is great. Now you say you hear a rattling, but then go on to say the monitor gets messed up. Is it one or the other or both?

Have you tried a higher refresh rate to see if that resolves the issue? Also how close is the stereo to the monitor?

I can only do a 60Hz refresh rate at 1280x1024 resolution.
Sub isn't too far from my sub, really only happens when my whole desk is shaking.

Yeah that would be normal I think, things inside are moving around causing distortion to the screen. Only way I can think to resolve it is by moving the sub further away from the desk. Sorry I cant help any further.
