What do you want to use this computer for? Are you going to be using a 64-bit operating system to pair with your 2x2GB kit?

honestly, I would start with some less expensive RAM and get an 8800GT at the least. I guarantee you will be left wanting with that other card.

Since you say you do not want to overclock, at least not that much that is what this build is going to reflect.
Gigabyte P35 $90
E2180 $70
GSkill DDR2-800 2x1GB $45
eVGA 8800GS $130
Western Digital 250GB $63
PC Power & Cooling $110
Samsung 20x DVD-W $27

Since you will not be overclocking or not very intensely the stock HSF provided will be more than sufficient. When it comes to HDD's you can get a lot of extra GB for not a lot of extra money, so even look at a 400GB model. With some decent rebates with these products you will be right around the same price as you started with.

yes i do plan on using Vista 64-bit

The computer is going to be used for a home office PC. It will be used to make home movies and such. Run programs like photoshop. Wont be used for a whole lot of gaming but wants the ability to. Thanks for the advice on the stock cooler.

I already have a 200GB IDE drive that will be used for storage purposes. Was going with that cheap sata hd just to run vista. I havent bought anything yet so open to any suggestions.

I started my other box running vista 64 with 2 gigs of ram and only had like 800 megs to spare for applications, memory has gotten cheap enough to go with 4 gigs.

Definitely substitute that GSkill DDR2-1000 kit you had selected in your wish list in the event that you are going to use 64-bit and photoshop.

My advice would be to unload that IDE on here or eBay and get yourself $40 you could use for a 3.0GB/s HDD. When you are rendering videos or photoshopping you will be glad for the extra speed.

No it's not. Take a look at this system, it's $626.92 before $40 in mail in rebates.

If you are sold on that system consider getting a E2220 2.4GHz instead of the Core2Duo. The extra 1MB of L2Cache does very little for performance. Here is a comparison between a E2160 vs. E6300. Maybe it is just me but I feel the $30 you save could be spent better elsewhere.

That Corsair 450w PSU will meet your needs nicely. For the price and meeting your future needs I feel the PC Power & Cooling would be the better choice.
