Anyone else notice how poorly optimized this game is? It's great fun but there is almost no FPS change when I edit any of my graphic settings. It is fairly steady at 60 and dips to low 40's in crowded places, maxed out. "Lowed out" it is almost identical (resolution remaining native).

>.>? Maybe it's just me. The game itself is epic so far though. I can tell I'm going to love this. I'm about 7 and a half hours in.. o_o

Probably because even 'ultra high texture quality' still has a load of blotchy textures in certain places. I bet you wouldn't notice the difference unless you had a 7600 or something.

Keep in mind the game was made for the 360 with its R500 GPU and 512MB GDDR3 shared between the GPU and CPU. They didn't change much graphics-wise.

a game that looks as good as this, runs at 60 fps maxed out, isn't optimized?

i don't really think it has much to do with code optimization. just lack of options.

and like the other guy said, this is a ported 360 game. a very well ported 360 game, imo

The game doesn't end after you take down Saren, right?
I'm in the fight with him and uhh.. I'm scared of finishing it since I left some of the side quests for later...

The jaggies are the most bothersome thing.. I actually use the film grain to superficially distract my eyes from the jaggies.. works pretty well, actually. Would be nice to have more options, though.. or whatever it is that causes the lack of performance improvement in lower graphic settings.

Depends. Are you *POSSIBLE SPOILER* at Virmire or the citadel?
