Is there really a noticeable difference between these 2 flavors? They are both modular

DA is much better. The Strider series is actually the weakest in the Silverstone lineup. So yes there is a noticeable difference

yes. the DA is of much better quality, hence the higher price. PM Chozart if you need a detailed explanation as he is the psu guru here. i went to him for some questions in the past and he was quite helpful.

Which two models are you trying to choose between? In general the DA series is better than the Enhance built Striders. But for example, the DA850 isn't all that great due to regulation issues and would probably put it below the best Striders. Here are two reviews to prove my point: DA850 and ST75F (you can skip to the performance summary in the conclusion).

The Decathlon is really really good, but Shinji has kind of, at least in my eyes, started making a name for himself with his PSU knowledge, so listen to what he has to say. Just know I have had zero issues with my current Decathlon PSU, even running CF x1950Pros, an 8800GT, and my current gas-guzzler of a card.

Keep in mind, especially with the 500W+ Silverstones (all of them, Strider, Zeus, OP/DA), I don't think any of them aren't worth buying at the right price. Even if that DA850 performed lower than expected, it is still a solid psu that will last you many years. It's just, if I can get a better performing PSU for the same price, I would go for the better one for obvious reasons.

I went with the Strider 1KW over the DA850, hopefully I made the right choice?

The Antec 900 isn't a huge case, and the ST1000 is a huge PSU. Hopefully it won't interfere with an Optical Drive.

I honestly don't know. I haven't seen a proper review on the 1kW Strider. If I had to guess it would be near the DA850 in terms of performance. Based on pictures and experience, I would probably have gone with Enhance's other 1kW units like the Cooler Master Real Power Pro 1kW or the Zalman 1kW. Based on pictures they look a little better built than the Strider and I know from tests that the other two are very nice psus. But it really depends on how much you paid. Based on prices I've seen I probably would have went with the DA850 since it can produce the same amount of power on the 12V rail (70A). But until I see someone review it, I can't really say either way. Like I said earlier, you still got a nice PSU, but there are probably better deals.
