Leak testing and noisy res...

Thread Starter
During my leak testing it seems like sometimes the flow of water just stops. The tube that goes from the res to pump will have water all the way to the pump with an air bubble by the barb of the res. I can hear the pump yet water does not appear to be flowing. If I hold the tube coming out of the pump output I dont feel anything either. If stop and restart it water will begin to flow and I can feel it.

When everything is running strong the res also makes a lot of noise. Its an old school dd bay nylon res, so no baffle. I can hear the water rushing into the back of the res, if I tilt it the noise dies down. Would tilting the res negatively impact my loop? Specs are as follows:
Dtek Fuzion V2, MCR-320, MCP-350.

You most likely have air bubbles in your rad, try shaking it when your pump is running. As for the res you need to add more coolant to prevent the air bubbles from entering your loop.
