Wow. Then i'd hate to see what you call mine. It's just an Athlon Xp 1.4 single core with 512MB of memory. But it works.

Is that something you recycled though? An old machine that you turned into an HTPC? My recommendation was for if you were going to buy all new parts.

yeah thats exactly what it is. Swap out the old HP 200W PSU, switch cases to a more visually pleasing one, add a dvd burner and 2 x 250GB hard drives and be done with it. Now all i need is a free frontend that doesnt hog resources.

Yeah, I could use something like that. I'm not too pleased with Media Center myself. I just want a frontend that has support for all codecs, doesn't hog resources, and will show info about the media I have ripped.

SageTV is excellent if you want to pay for it...havent found a free full version yet
