It's all in the union which doesn't have good guides for game actors... It was a 100,000 dollars for 15 months of work. That's pretty good, until you realize that you helped in the making of 600,000,000 dollars worth. Even if he were to get only 1% of the profits, because that's probably all any of you think he deserves, that is still 6,000,000 dollars! 6 MILLION!
Then why did he go into voice acting for a game? It was HIS CHOICE. And he agreed to do the work for $100,000, without getting a piece of the pie. Now, just because the game is making lots of money, he wants more? How is that fair? He already AGREED to payment WITHOUT a "piece of the pie", so why does he deserve a piece now?
And there's no way anyone on staff on this project (except maybe head devs) would get paid even close to 1%! That'd be ridiculous. If everyone who had a part in the game was paid 1% of the revenues of the game, Rockstar would be paying out like 1000% of what they are making on it (I can guarantee that at least 1000 people were involved in the making of the game)! Not to mention the publishing/advertising costs they already have to pay.... I would say maybe, just MAYBE the voice actor deserves 1/100th of a percent of the revenues, but even that would be stretching it. Regardless, if he wanted to be paid more, he should have negotiated that BEFORE he started work.
