A 9800GTX can run any game at up to 1920x1200 absolutely fine. SO why do we have people with three of them?

Is it consumerism or the lust for more (which as economists would say is inherently better)?

I'm doing a paper on consumer exogenism and was wondering if I could use this as a case study.

Discuss please =)
I had 3 8800GTX's and am now waiting for my 2 9800GTX's for something new.

Having plenty of graphics power gets us good frames and we are more than likely prepared for the near futures titles on high / max.

I just paid £360 for 2 9800GTX's from eVGA... I consider that cheap compared to what I spent on the 8 series.

[B]Computer building / being a computer enthusiast has become a hobby for a lot of people on here, myself included. Some people throw money at cars making them go faster and faster but the reality is the speed limit is still 70MPH in the UK...B]

PC's can go as fast as a user can control it, the same with cars but without braking the law.

The final reason for having a graphics powerhouse is simply because we can afford it. So why not?
