I went back to maplins but they argued that as the board was not faulty and it was my second board (1st one was faulty) they would have to send the MBoard of to Maplins HQ and i would have to wait between 1-2 weeks for them to do tests and for my money but i couldn't go that long without a computer so i managed to get another bundle in exchange (i no bad idea perhaps but better than 2 weeks with no comp) so this is the MBoard i came away with: http://www.maplin.co.uk/Module.aspx?...23328&doy=28m5
I kept the same RAM (2x 2GB DDR2 800) and graphics card as i left that at home and decided to give this MBoard a try.... the only thing i was worried about was the fact that the manual stated that it could only take 667 RAM max and the RAM i have is 800, So i started with 1x 2GB RAM and the computer booted a treat so the i decide to add the second stick.... and yep you guessed it the problems started again.
This time there was no signal sent to the monitor and a series of around 9-10 Beeps, So i decided to remove the Graphics card and give the Onboard VGA card a go, it managed to get to the boot screen and just froze, here are a few pics of the screen
Has anyone got any ideas what it might be? thanks for all your help btw
