Help With Case Fans

Hey guys, I'm in the process of building a new machine, or rather about to start building on and need a little help with case fans. I'm just wondering what you guys would suggest as far as what I should look for in a case fan (I'm thinking 70-80 cfm?) and I'll have 5 total, so should I get a controller for them do you think? Just any suggestions as far as that goes would be most helpful. Thanks guys. My build post is located HERE so please tell me what you would suggest.

yes a fan controller would be a great idea unless you get fans that have them built in(antec)

Some High Speed Yate Loon fans hooked up to a fan controller would be awesome.

Thanks for the link, if you guys wouldn't mind maybe posting some links to where I can pick the fans up. Hoping not to get killed on shipping. I'd hate to buy a fan for 5 or 6 bucks, then pay that much again for shipping, so if anyone knows of a good place to pick up some fans and/or controller for good prices, please let me know since newegg doesn't really give good discount shipping.

I was thinking about this one from Newegg since it's a good high cfm and it at least have volume pricing. What do you guys think?

I think you can do better than that one.

Here are some real life tests I did on 6 120mm fans a couple of weeks ago:

For case fans, the Scythe S-Flex F or Slipstream 1600 rpm ones are really good. I think Scythe just released a G series S-Flex that has higher cfm...that might interest you too. Good luck!

depending on where ur located. i get fans from petras:
http://www.petrastechshop.com/

i basically get 85% of my stuff from them. they ship fast and are very good folks to deal with.

for case fans 120x25mm is ideal. around 65-80cfm is good if you're into silent stuff then i can't help you cause i think silence is.... i have 5 110cfm @100% 24/7 for the past year now.

Awesome, great guide, but only thing is where can I buy them where shipping doesn't kill me? I'd like to get 5 fans, and trying to keep it under $50 for the fans. Not sure if the fans that came with my case are any good, but if they are, I could always just buy 2 for the top kit I'm getting, but I have a feeling the fans that came with the case may not be up to par with what I'm wanting. Either way, I'm looking for a cheap solution as my budget has been mostly spent on everything else. I didn't realize I would need this much money for case fans, lol.

if ur in the broke boat i suggest looking through the f/s section. u can fid deals there like crazy. the fans may not be of the same brand and what not.
stock fans usually are...neh the only good stock fans are antec tri-cools, u haven't even listed ur system specs so i find my self stabbing in the dark. u can list ur system under USER CP. pls. do so otherwise it's just a guessing game on how others can help u.
