Windows XP Media Center install problem...

Thread Starter
I have been trying to fix my old media center pc to set up in the house. It wouldn't even power on at first, but I cleaned it and bought a brand new hard drive.

I am now trying to install on the fresh new drive and it goes through partition formatting and then the screen just goes blank and stays that way.

Could this be caused by faulty ram? or is it a faulty install disk? or is there some other problem that I need to look out for.

Any help would be MUCH appreciated.

Thanks in advance.
