Mine also takes about 20 friggin minutes to boot, but once it finally does, it runs without a hitch. My RMA is already filled out and waiting, but seems that it is a common issue with the 7 series boards with you having the 790i and another poster had the 760i. Now me in the middle with 780i heh. I did all the idea and troubleshooting that was suggested here and still takes forever to boot after hanging on at 52. BIOS is updated, drivers too. Memory is perfect and still hangs after working great for a bit. So I too am at a loss on what to do next.
Well here is the thing; I have no experience with DDR3 memory, so I think I actually had my memory undervolted
this whole time. Once I bumped the voltage up to 1.55 from 1.5 (stock), it is now posting correctly-almost. It still hangs up for like 10-20 seconds on the post code 52, but it still is posting nevertheless thank goodness. Or maybe its just a coincidence... with this board who knows.
Now I am sure that undervolting is not your problem... And if you tried everything that was suggested and that I tried as well to no avail, well then I am sorry dude. I had tremendous success with my 780i, wish you could with yours. What bios are you using?
