Duel Fans?

Thread Starter
well its like a "turbo" concept...the first fan gets most of the air resistance so the main/primary fan would get less resistance and more air.

also if back to back it would increase the height of the fan
like shown in this thread.
http://www.overclock.net/air-cooling...ing-n00bs.html

i'll test it out with my tuniq to see if theres any difference.

If you're talking about attaching 2 120x25s together, I wouldn't recommend it without having a shroud in between the two...

Works better with a shroud in between, that's even how Delta made their 2-fan model. The extra noise doesn't make it worth it unless you use a shroud, because if you can tolerate that much noise, get a leaf blower while you're at it.

The turbulence created by the fans spinning so close to one another would actually decrease the overall performance.
At least that's my theory

I thought the only way to make this work properly [to put 2 fans into a wind tunnel sort situation] would be to have 2 fans spinning at EXACTLY the same speed, otherwise one would hamper the other

If we are talking about doing it to a heatsink, it only makes about 2C difference - i've tryed with my Scythe Ultra Kase [89~CFM] and my Scythe Slipstream [110CFM], only about 2 degrees average difference

And what happened with the noise? Did it increase/decrease/stay the same?

Increased a little [having such tight fins on my TRUE didn't help though]
Right now i'm running the Ultra Kase on the heatsink and the Slipstream on the rear exhaust.
