What's been wrong with Asus boards lately. I've sort of been out of the loop on mobo issues since I built my computer a few years ago. I have an Asus A8N-SLI Premium and it's been a good board for this CPU type. It was the best board around back then. What's happened since then? I thought Asus still made good boards.

ASUS made good boards, then around the Socket A era, they're budget boards started getting crappier and crappier, and I think it was around when the Striker was released the rest of the boards started getting crappy.

I had three budget ASUS boards die from the Socket A era, one had a chip fall off it, even when I wasn't touching the damn thing, and now it seems this ASrock board is starting to die too... (Its showing the same signs as one of the other dead ones showed before it died)

They had a lot of issues with their 680i boards, namely the P5N32-E and the Striker Extreme.

They Intel chipset boards are great though.

I think it mostly has to do with the Nforce chips, as all mine that have died (2) have been due to the NB dying.
