Appraisal: Used Dell Inspiron 600m laptop

Hey guys,

I need an honest appraisal of how much you think my used Dell laptop computer is worth. It is a Dell Inspiron 600m notebook from October 2005, so it is almost three years old at this point and I know I can’t expect to get that much for it. But I would still like to sell it if possible. I need two prices – one for eBay, and one for OCN members like yourselves.

Physically, it is in good condition for its age. The top of the notebook is scratched in a few places but this does not affect its functioning. The casing is in good shape otherwise, and it is structurally sound. The LCD is an XGA display (1024x768 pixels) and is in good shape, the brightness and clarity are great.

Here are the tech specs on the notebook:

Intel Pentium M Processor 1.70 GHz
14.1†XGA (1024x768 pixel) display
1 GB (2x512MB) of DDR RAM [SODIMM]
ATI Mobility Radeon 9000 Video Card (32MB)
Integrated AC97 sound card
80GB 5400rpm IDE Western Digital HDD
Wired & Wireless Internet (Broadcom 440x Ethernet, Intel PRO/Wireless 2200BG)
56K modem

Windows XP Professional Service Pack 3 will come pre-installed at the buyer’s request.

Included accessories:
-6-cell battery
-Power supply (90W)

Thanks guys – I know I can count on you to give an honest appraisal.

I would say 300-400 dollars...I was just looking into selling my dell laptop with similar specs and it was looking like somewhere between 300 and 400 dollars...usually more if you sold it on craigslist rather than ebay. hope that helps

I'd say $325-350.
