This really makes me wish i would've consulted you guys in this forum before i went ahead and made my water-cooling decisions, oh well...

If you guys don't mind i'm going to drag out this thread a little longer by posting the products that i plan on using in this setup. My only defense, being a beginner to the water-cooling scene, is that i thought sticking to a brand i already knew (Zalman makes the Air Cooler that i currently use) would make sense because that way my fittings/sizes would match up.

The Reserator 2 (where it all went wrong...)

The CPU Water-Block

The GPU Water-Block

I'm reading that the GPU Water-Block is an Aluminum Alloy. This probably means it's not what i should be looking for at all, huh?

Sheesh...i hope i can make this all work for at least 2 semesters of school coming up...

I wouldn't try to cool anything other than the CPU with your cooler. I'd make sure the loop can handle that before putting anything else on. Putting a GPU and other cooling on that loop would probably overpower it and actually make your temps higher than just air cooling the CPU.

if i was in ur shoes i would try to find an all aluminum cpu block. aslong as its like metals theres no galvanic reaction.

theres no need to prime the loop, just plug the pump into a test psu and try to get all teh air out then hook it up to ur pc. alternatively you can hook it up to you pc then connect it to a test psu then get all the air out. look up bleeding in search for more tips on getting the air out.
