Dual slot 8800GT, $10 cheaper. (anyone know about this particular card?)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814130357

For $20 more you get 2.5 times more space on a drive thats just as fast (or very close).
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16822136218

Edit: Ohhhh, thats tough.

I don't know what to drop, but if you have to, you can cheapo out on the case, and maybe the motherboard (DS3L?).

I thought about that videocard but I was told that since its a special edition that you can NOT use the step-up program with it. Thats why I chose the one I have now.

As for the HDD, The one I have is 32MB Cache as a pose to the 16 bit you suggested, I know 250GB isnt that much but I dont really use that much space. Plus I am already over budget = \\

You picked the REALLY expensive drive too... You can get a 250GB for like $40 if you're worried about money. The 32MB cache really doesn't make that big of a difference.

Questions?

PS: current bins of the Q6600 aren't very good overclockers. Either the E8400 or the Q6700 are the recommended CPUs. since the Q6700 is too expensive, the E8400 is the 'default' choice. Only when you have applications that really use a Quad would I get the Q6600, but that's unlikely.

In my opinion you could get a 3870 for a lower price with a similar perfomance.

http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16814161218
$129.9 after $25 rebate.

You also get a free game Rainbow Six Vegas.

I think you should get a E8400 for CPU instead as what Chozart said, the current batches of Q6600s are not good OCers and get that dual slot 8800gt that was earlier suggested. Everything else looks good.

It looks like he's getting the EVGA to use the step up program, if that's the case then fine, otherwise, I'd go with this 8800GT for $144.99 after $40 mail in rebate.
