LOL

It doesn't matter how much your rig cost, if one little thing is not right it can cause havok!!!!
You cant blame MS or Nvidia for all your problems, overall they do a pretty good job. Its just that these lastest WHQL drivers seem to have some faults on certain systems (including mine), just roll em back and wait for the next set which should fix the current bugs.
And dude seriously 48hours staright?????? I doupt it....

When I had the x86 vista it did work for a bit then driver failure again. It's quite simple, they want you to upgrade to the 9000 series and vista is plain crap. Microsoft made their money and now they dont even care about making a decent operating system
Nvidia and MS spend millions on hardware support to make sure that their hardware and software work together well. This current issue is just one of those things, its no biggy, if you have a problem running the latest drivers then just roll back to the last ones that work and wait for the next lot.
If you hate vista so much then why the hell do you use it?????
And its no big conspirisory to get you to upgrade to the 9000 series as in 98% of cases the drivers work fine on the 8000's.

Kk..obviously I went to the bathroom, and I tried everything myself. I tried removing a single video card and running the system them removing the other one and running the system. And finally I tried to run the system with both video cards placed in it. Then I checked my momory to see if it was set at production recommendation, and I ran a MTEST on my RAM, I also ran 3d mark, and I re-installed my drivers from 3d-guru, and evga and not to mention I installed the operating system twice incase. So yeah its not my fault I blame NVIDIA and Microsoft

Sry I missed your retarded statement, BTW I did spend 48 hours talking to them obviously not straight but over four days time. And I am blaming them for the problem I have an old system which is 4400x2 AMD and It has 1GB RAM and the card is a x1950pro with windows xp home, and WOW it can run Crysis at high setting no problems, no driver failure. I used to listen to people say that ATI sucks but I have to tell you they own NVIDIA and their faulty drivers and cards.

I have been running 2x8800GT's on Vista 64 for well over a month, OC'd to the max most of the time..

Things I need to do is downclock my OC for certain games to keep from locking up.. game issue not vista or nvidia..

Only time I see BSOD's is when I OC something too far........

My system runs stable as a rock, Windows Vista works perfectly fine for me...

Seems alot of ppl get the ID ten t error tho

you could allways get an ATI card and Install MAC

Right, because I'm sure ATI has never produced a faulty card or crappy drivers...

The first card I bought for ATI = x1950pro 2 years ago = very good card performs crysis at very high no lag

The first NVIDIA card I got is 2 8800GTX SLI with 780iSLI motherboard = NVLDMKMN (something like that) driver failure...didn't even run the game and when it did I got less than 10fps.

So those are facts I don't care about benchmarks or Tom's Hardware I am giving you facts from a person who installed both of them. Sure it may have worked well for you but it didn't for me I learned my lesson with NVIDIA.

Faulty parts and software happen all the time and from all manufacturers. You may have one or both problems. I have built many rigs in the past and have had high end systems and low end systems run great and then I have also had them be a total pain in the butt because of some small imperfection.
Be it small or large all manufacturers have bad parts at one time or another.

So please quit crying that this company or that company sucks, Because they all suck at some point and anybody who deals with computers on a day to day basis knows that!

Just thought I'd stick my face in amongst all this flak and say my .16 are running fine on my Sig'd Rig.

Now, back out of the chaos for me...

Dood... You have to be kidding me right? Your trying to say you run crysis on vista with settings VH on a x1950 pro? What res? cause I cant pull that off with 8800GT's in SLI

You actually have a 1950pro that beats 3870's in crossfire... thats pretty good man......
