Of late, Comcast has been using some business methods that a lot of their customers have not been happy with. The whole P2P situation, and the bandwidth capping/throttling would piss me off...

Hence my explanation of why Comcast has issues with their website.
Yeah, them lying to their customers, throttling connections of people who are... Active, limiting tons of bittorrent protocalls (my line is limited, but not by much. I only find it hard to seed). The MOMENT FiOS comes to where I live, they have a new customer.

Yeah, Hacking is actually wrong in this context. Hacking is using a device for something other than it's intended purpose, or extending it's capabilities by modifying it (DDWRT onto a WRT54G, for example, or Linux on the Xbox).

Cracking is accessing someone else's computer without their consent.

Unfortunately, Hacking is now used to mean the latter, so you have to go along with it.

Everybody has to bash me for neo-con, that isn't true. I hate bush anyways. Back on topic since some people are so pissed about politics, I think of this as cyber terrorism. Sure it not "terror", but the underlying concepts are there. They are pushing their way to move the decisions of a company, much like certain groups do to others to get their way. Comcast can do whatever they want as long as it's legal right? Is it right for people to "crack" in their network? Heck no. Sure they had it coming, coming from criminals. I personally see a form of cyber terrorism, whether it's damaging or not.

I see a lot of bush haters here haha, I got tooled! If you want to accuse me of something send me a PM, don't rant your politics on this site. I made a simple statement of my opinion referencing this topic, not politics directly. Chill out

The goal was probably to raise awareness of Comcast's activities.

By the way this isn't "cyber terrorism":
  1. I don't think anyone was filled with terror
  2. This was just done as proof that they could do it
It would be cyber terrorism if someone hacked Paypal and stole a *euphemism* load of money.
Well don't you think that some of the people would be afraid that their privacy has just been jeopardized due to some hackers? Honestly, I saw this coming like what most of you guys said.
