I was checking my HDD's with S.M.A.R.T. tab in speedfan and one of them has a red X going through Raw Read Error Rate. Value 200, Worst 1, Warn 51. You guys think i should be replacing this HDD soon, hasn't given me any problems yet.

goto the manufactor and get their diagnostic tool and report you finding

1 is pretty low. I found out my HDD had a high seek error rate. I jsut moved it into some cool air and now its error rate is in the healthy range. Try downloading Seatools for windows or WD datalifeguard tools and do a drive scan.

That hard-drive is toast. Try to RMA it if you can. If you carry on using it you will prbably experience some data loss, so backup any important data.

EDIT: Ah...You're out of luck. Your warranty is run out...so no RMA. You could carry on using it but it could fail at any point or it could last for years to come...Its hard to say.

It may still be okay. I would imagine performance is pretty lousy on it though with all those read errors. Anyway, just a nice excuse to get a nice new high capacity HDD.

I know I'd be offloading data on a HDD like that as quickly as possible...
