Its the PSU I'm more concerned about, gigabyte don't make them too well IMO. Plus the coolermaster case has really good airflow (unlike the ASUS)

EDIT: don't forget a cooler for that 6000+, its OEM, so you will need a freezer 64 pro or similar.

I have updated your list to buy from eBuyer, it works out cheaper once you add in free delivery -

MOBO-
Gigabyte GA-MA69VM-S2 690V Socket AM2 Onboard VGA - £35.11

CPU-
AMD Athlon 64 X2 6000+ (3GHz) Socket AM2 OEM - £74.95

CPU Cooler-
Coolermaster DK8-8ID2A-PL-GP Socket AM2/AM2+/939 Processor Cooler - £4.75

RAM-
Crucial 2GB Kit (2x1GB) DDR2 800MHz - £26.94

HDD-
Seagate ST3250310AS 250GB Hard Drive SATAII - £32.99

CASE & PSU-
Coolermaster Elite 330 Black Case With CM eXtreme Power 460W PSU - £47.99

DVD Drive-
Optiarc AD-7201S 20X DVD±RW/RAM LightScribe SATA Black Bare Drive - Boxed With 2 LightScribe Disks & Nero - £16.95

OS-
Vista Home Premium 32-bit - £56.86

TOTAL: £296.54 inc free P&P

This would obviously be a better CPU cooler than the £4.75 one if you can stretch an extra £5 - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/136623

Would this GPU be okay -
http://www.ebuyer.com/product/139139
Its £64 - not cheap but it has native HDMI and is HDCP capable. Should also be alright for mid-light gaming. Will you be overclocking the processor?
EDIT: actually it doesn't have native HDMI

EDIT2: This one does - http://www.ebuyer.com/product/134853 - Puts sound through the hDMI too
