Hello Hello

Thread Starter
How you guys doing? I'm about to build a New PC (you can see the the components in my sig), and I'm about the pull the trigger tomorrow. Just waiting for a loan I took out to finalize.

Anyway, this is actually my first time building a PC from scratch, so I'm doing mass amounts of research. I actually found this site while looking for a tutorial on how to set-up RAID 0, and decided to stay since, judging by the site name, this is a forum where I could find some expertise in overclocking one's PC, and it's something I think I'd like to dabble in. As of this point, I'm pretty much confident in my abilities as far as putting a PC together is concerned... The only thing I'm shaky on is when it comes to dealing with the BIOS (seeing as how I've never built a PC, I've never felt the need to delve into such things). As soon as I get my PC, I can guarantee I'll be on here searching for answers, and maybe asking some questions if I get really stumped.

Anyway, I'm just rambling now... Hope to find the answers I'm looking for here.

Hi and welcome to OCN! This place is full of information. When I joined (about a year ago) I thought I knew a lot about computers... well needless to say, I have learned much more since then and looking back on things I can see that I barely knew anything at all! You can learn as much as you want here if you take the time to read. Good luck and enjoy your stay.

Hullo and welcome. Looks like a nice system. I know this probably isn't the best time but I would make a couple of changes before 'pushing the button'.
Unless you are thinking of going tri-sli in the future, I would go for the 8800GTS G92 series. They perform as well as the 9800GTX series and cost alot less . Also get a better cooler than the freezer 7 pro. like the Xigmatek Rifle 120mm.

Actually, I am thinking about going Tri SLI somewhere down the road... At least, that's the plan. We'll have to see if something down the line doesn't entice me to replace them outright...

And I will look into that heatsink. I picked the Freezer 7 pro when I was trying to keep my PC under $2000... Now I can go to around $2200-$2400, so I'll definitely re-evaluate that.
