Scroll down to the mods/addons and mapping section. That's where I get all my Gmod junk.

allot of the popular ones are done via SVN a great tool that helps you keep your mods up to date as you can just right click and say update.

basically download and install Tortoise Svn here

then when its installed create a folder for the mod and right lick on it, select svn checkout (you may have to restart first)

then you will need to have the mods url depository adress (where the mod is hosted)

the most popular ones are Stargate, Wire, Spacebuild 2, Spacebuild model pack, Lifesuport 2, and Phx.
  • Stargate -- adds stargates and other stargate related items to the game (stargates work just like in tv series).
  • Wire -- is an addon that allows you greater control over your contraptions (requires some learning to use well).(used on many servers and spacebuild).
  • Spacebuild -- is a popular gametype where maps have planets on which you can build spaceships and then fly them out of the atmoshpere and into space where you can take up space battles and the like, or visit other planets etc.
  • LS2 and The Spacebuild model pack -- LS2 (Life support 2) is required for Spacebuild and Space build model pack is used by most servers (it helps with ship building).
  • Gcombat -- again like the Space build model pack is almost always used for spacebuild servers (weapons that let you destroy props -- in order to battle in spaceships).
  • PHX -- is an addon that adds many more objects to your spawn list this is very popular and is on almost every server.

Here are the url's that i know.
If They ask for a username and password

then if you ever need to update it just go to the folder you made and right click and choose svn update.

that is quite a bit to go its quite big aswell if you get all of it

a few good mods on gmod.org

<-- i coded part of that (bout 40% but Robbis_1 did most)

<-- also by Robbis_1

<-- good for building

<-- the greatest building aid ever!

thats just a few for maps i propose

<-- my favourite

that should keep you busy want anything else or more jsut pm me (i am a gmod addict so i keep up - to -date

I have absolutely no idea what to do... when i look around i see a whole bunch of downloads and packs'n'stuff.

but nothing seems to be right. i have the latest gmod version (i suppose) and have no clue whatso ever for what to download. allot of people online gmod has been trying to help me, but it always end up with them arguing and that dosn't get me anywhere.

So please O'wise guru! help this poor soul!
what the hell is is the URL for the stargate pack i need so that i can use the gate itself (and the rest of the SG things), Not see giant errors and ultimately, travel through space!

Please respond to this as soon as possible, I am a kid/guy/dude of little patient ^^

Just get this. All the good mods are SVNs and using an SVN client is annoying.

Rsage: Shift E while holding with physgun snaps to position.
