Intel Core 2 Duo

post #1 of 2
Thread Starter
Hi guy i've installed patches.

This is my boot.ini text

[boot loader]
timeout=3
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\\WINDO WS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\\WINDOWS="Micr osoft Windows XP Home Edition" /noexecute=optin /fastdetect /numproc=1
C:\\CMDCONS\\BOOTSECT.DAT="Microsoft Windows Recovery Console" /cmdcons

Should i change numproc = 1
to 2

Are you running XP or Vista as listed in your sig? "numproc=1" is meant to specify that the number of processors your running is 1 but you have a dual core. I haven't ever seen or used this so I am curious now but specifying 2 should mean dual core from what I understand and I don't think it should cause any problems. If it does, boot using safe mode and change it back.
