anyways, i think that those panaflo fans are the ones that i'd go with. do you think that i could hack a cpu loop with the 86cfm ones?

edit - what kind of power do those take? would my system (below) be able to take it, when i add a pump to the system?
Yeah the 86 Pana are pretty good medium cfm fans, they should be fine on a GTS....They are only 3.36W each, so almost any controller should be able to handle them...A pump is 18W or so, that and the fans wont be much of a load on a 650W PSU...

A shroud would do great on a GTS since they have such a high fin per inch count, I wouldn't use one with out them....

Like I was saying before the GTS is a good bang for buck rad on a CPU only loop...If you think you might want to add a GPU later on I would just get a BIX, they are a lot more free flowing and just a C or 2 worse then a GTS with the 86cfm Pana's.......

I bet a GTS will pack full of dust pretty fast to, I blow out my rads about once a week with canned air...Really spray a lot through it or you will just pack it in worse, don't cheap out with it, have the fans on while blowing it out...About every three months I break my rig down and clean it all up....

I have a 240 GTS, I haven't tried it out yet, and it is restrictive, just blow through a barb and you will see what I mean....But for a CPU only loop with a good pump they should do pretty well, if you are using a good free flowing block like a un-jetted Fuzion...

I find myself putting these on everything I can cool!

I Also use the Panaflo's - but have been migrating over to the Ultra Kaze's

My 2 cents
I used those Kaze 3000's with a fan controller and they don't undervolt that well. As you undervolt them they get very noisy. I swapped them out for the 2000's and am much happier.

bix = ? black ice extreme? which model?

If u don't care about noise, i'd say the Panaflows. It's not high CFM u need for a rad, it's high pressure, and the panaflows really provide it.

I love my 2000's as well. They undervolt very well. And are very nice and quite at the lowest setting on my Zalman fan controller.

This one...BIX 240....The GTS will beat it out by a C or 2 with medium cfm fans, the 86cfm Pana, but the BIX is not nearly as restrictive to water flow or air flow....

Heres a good GTS review, they compare it to a BIP and BIX clone, you can see what I mean about them... GTS Review.
