Just got another BSOD 5 minutes ago...this was related to ntfs.sys - the screen said to uninstall any new antivirus, disk defragmenter, or backup program. First time I've seen this BSOD. Advice?

Allright nfts.sys is your file system, there is a problem with the hard drive, either the hard drive is faulty, or Windows wasn't installed properly. Most manufacturers have analysis software that you can download from their website, for a good start, I would get HD Tune :
http://www.hdtune.com/
I would check the health status of the drive and make sure that nothing is highlighted in yellow or worst, in red, and I would also run a whole sector scan of the drive (not the quick one).

Another problem started arising...Data Execution Prevention keeps on closing Windows Explorer 5 minutes after I boot up for the past three times. I have to close explorer and I can't use my desktop or anything (because explorer is closed). Is there anything that could be causing this? I just installed bitdefender 11 and I changed a host file, but then I changed it back and I uninstalled bitdefender because i was fed up with it.

Tough luck mate.

This happened on my laptop some time ago,
XP SP2 used 756mb of ram on idle (total 1gb) and it kept crashing, freezing, Bluescreening, just about every single problem I could get, I got. No explanation, programs just randomly didn't work and it was so slow.
One day I thought, no this is it, this is where it all goes. I went into add/remove programs and removed just about every single program that was not necessary to the computer or programs that I didn't need. After I did all of that I defragged my hard disk and now everything is fine.

I later learnt that I had too many software/driver/hardware conflict combinations and that was why everytime the problem was different.

By looking at your system I assume you do play games or other movies and other stuff but I reckon using a Mac is the best for work, there is NO way you can clog up a Mac with problems (because nothing is compatible with Mac).

I fixed the problem a week ago. Found out that there was a ram problem; it was messed up. I had to get it replaced with the same type, but they were new. Everything's running fine now for the past week. Thanks for the help.
