Its the temp, youre overheating the card.

I just had the same issue tonight for the first time since getting my comp back in one piece again, playing crysis I got the same issue.

Here is the problem, on my cards at least, the fan speed is a constant 30% regardless of the temp of the cards, period.

So when I play games, I have seen them over 100C, why because the damn fan speed is at 30%.

Only thing that sucks is that fanspeed no longer works, rivatuner no longer works, so I had to use ntune to get the fan speed to 100%, problem went away.

If thats the case i can assume that your fans are adjusting to 100%? If not, try cranking them to 100% and see if you can replicate the error.

I cranked them to 100% and got above 59c while playing COD 4 demo, and i had 1 driver crash during each of my 2 runs threw it, the rest went flawlessly...
