Hi Alex can you post a pic of the led? Also have you made sure all cables are properly connected? Have you, by any chance, reseated the CPU and if so has it been done properly?

I see your using the 780i, and on my 750i, The red LED on my board only shows up if i push my CMOS button resetting everything back to default. Also the red LED on my board just flashes once real quickly instead of staying lit.

Yea, a pic would help Alex, if you could get one and show us. I would agree with Bal3Wolf . Try reseating the cpu and all. Just painting the case isn't going to cause this.

You did store your hardware nice and safe when you painted your case right??

Did you install the standoffs to keep the motherboard from shorting out on the case? Did you not only plug in the 24pin power connector, but also the 4 or 8 pin connector near the CPU? Is your video card properly seated and connected to the PSU via the 6 pin plug? Are all memory DIMMs pushed in all the way? Do any fans spin? Is the hard drive connected to the board? Is the hard drive connected to the PSU?

I'd just examine each connection and make sure it's pushed in all the way. Something might be a little loose. If none of this works, try isolating the part. Try your memory in someone else's computer. Same with the video card. You can do the same with the CPU but that's more time consuming. Good luck.
