Looks interesting but please... did that cooler actually fit on that motherboard ?

Anyone else knows anything about zalman 9700 on gigabyte ix48 MB ?

personally Zalman 9xxx series are a crappy coolers compared to the good ones out there on the market. there are better coolers. cooler master gemini II great cooler outperformed the Zalman 9700 for me when i put two 120mm fans on the gemini. but i bet there is even better than the gemini for air cooling now. i run water to keep my Q6600 cool.

To begin with this is my specc:
Antec P182 Performance
Corsair Powersupply 750W Black,ATX/EPS
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500 3.16GHz, Socket 775
Corsair TWIN2X 6400 DDR2, 4096MB CL5, (5-5-5-18)
Gigabyte GA-X48-DQ6, X48, Socket-775
Gigabyte GeForce 9800GTX 512MB GDDR3
Western Digital Raptor 150GB SATA
Zalman CNPS9700LED Ultra Quiet CPU-Cooler
Nexus Real Silent 120mm 22.8dB Svart/Vit (Infront taking in air)

All settings in BIOS is standard, havnt changed anything yet.
Allthough I have updated BIOS to version: F6.

I can see that there is an Beta version of new BIOS: F7b
With changes: update CPU ID.

Dont really know if it's worth upgradeing. Escpecially when I want stable system for overclocking.

If more information is needed, please tell and I will add. Have a lot to learn about overclocking. Ofc I will also read around the forum and see what i can learn from that.

But in the end, In this thread I want suggestions how to config BIOS. f ex FSB increase. voltage increase etc.

Many thanks in advance!
my friend , i have exactly the same system with you , with only difference the vga , i have the sapphire 3870x2, and i am facing a problem with overclocking.
i manage to overclock the cpu but the perfomance to games is reduced.
for example to crysis with stock speed , i take 30 fps , and after overclock to 9,5 x360 , the fps reduced to 26fps.
Can you please send me the bios settings you use , in order to check them.
