If you're interested, I've got an E2180 I could sell you for about $60.

Well, you really cant beat the E2180 IMO. Overclocks great, nice and cheap. Despite the lower cache it keeps up very well with the e4xxx series.

Well, everyone's definition of "budget" is different. Murlocke would say an E8400 is budget, I would say an E2180 is budget, some may say a Celeron is budget. Cognoscenti would say a QX6700 is budget.

Thus, here are some good bang for the buck CPUs to consider:

E2180: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819116052
E4600: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115032
E7200: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Produc...82E16819115052

Hopefully one of those fits your definition of "budget."

As long as you're in the lower 48 states in the US, it's $60 shipped.

Ah. Well I wouldn't know since he didn't add his location to his profile.

EDIT: But now I just noticed there's a separate country field in profiles. Ya learn something new every day.
