Gaming instability and 'buzzing' with new build

Thread Starter
Hello all,

I recently built myself a new computer:

Q6600 G0 w/ Coolermaster HyperTX cooler
2x2gb OCZ Reaper 1066mhz DDR2
Asus Maximus Formula (Bios 1102)
Raptor 150
Coolermaster 750W Real Power Pro PSU
PNY (blah) 8800GTS 512
Vista 64 bit ultimate

... and Im having strange issues.

My computer keeps locking up in games such as Counterstrike Source and Oblivion. Half the time, just sitting on the vista desktop running OCCT results in weird artifacts to the point where I have to restart the computer.

Temperatures all seem normal.
Voltages are stock and no overclocking is done.

However, memtest doesnt show any errors. Everything looks fine, and yet the system is unusable.

Any ideas?

Maybe a bad driver because you have 64-bit Vista...

Go to www.driveragent.com and scan your computer to see if your drivers are out of date/bad

XP is still the sweet spot for gaming. I can max out almost any game that I play in XP, but not in Vista.
