Get Western Digital Caviar SE16 WD7500AAKS 750GB. It’s as fast as a Raptor X, but bigger, comparatively cheaper and quieter.

the 640GB goes for 110.
as for the 750GB goes for 180.

would you guys recommend me going with a 80GB ?
if not what would be a good HDD for Vista 64 bit. im a little low on money so im trying to find the best one that would work the best.

how much are you planning to spend on this hard drive? and what exactly are you going to be using your computer for?

If you are getting the HDD for anytype of media I would go with the 640 Western digital its one of the best HDD out there with a ton of space and they are very reliable and not as loud as the Raptors.

In that case, get yourself like a decent 160 or a 250 for future-proofing...

how long would i be able to keep the 250 if i got it now? because i just want to make a system and use it for a while, not really intending to upgrade anytime soon or anything. would u still just recommend me getting the 250 over the 640?
