with your mobo i wouldnt touch a quad core. the asus 680i's are horrible with quads. what it the E clocked to now?

ok thanks i will stick with the e6600 and avoid the q6700..

the 680i is not good at o/c

i am running my e6600 at stock speeds.. every time i try to run up the vcore the system becomes unstable.. maybe because i dont have the best cooling

will a NON-overclocked e6600 still hold its own against a q6700 for gen usage?

anyone else support my decision NOT to upgrade? my instict tells me it is worth $250 to up to the quad core for a performance gain in general vista usage... but most disagree??
