I think that could be pretty sick......Should give you pretty decent temp's all year round, as long as your crawl space stays cool, which most do...

WOW you do!!! how well does it work? how did you mod it? I have many questions!!! you got pics?

I am not using a crawl space...im just building a box style shrowd for my blower and rad...I live in Oregon so the amb temps are pretty ok here year round and we have AC in the house...id say we keep it around 75 most of the summer. it never gets super hot here and my room is pretty cool compaired to the rest of the house. I just want overkill cooling on the rad. then it wont matter as much about flow/head im hoping.

You can get strip foam at the hardware store, the ticker wider kind like you use around window AC's...Just box your rad in and stuff that around the edges of the rad...Even some of that cheap door and window foam rubber insulation would work, you can get it for a buck or two a roll.....Put it all around the rad and work it in the box...You can always use some clear silicone between the rad and box also, its just a couple of bux a tube...

Then for the blower side just put a 1/4" or 3/8" or whatever piece of plywood on the box and screw it down with a little silicone on it...Cut out the size of hole you need for your blower and hook it up...

One thing about using wood it should tone down the sound of the blower a lot...

Yeah I was hoping it would be that easy...I have lots of foam around the house...I could even grab a can of spray foam from the store I guess. I dont know what to do...ive been reading a bunch of CDs threads of the mods he does and I keep wanting to do crazy stuff like that...however I have to remember that im trying to get it built as cheep as possable the first time and upgrade the looks later. at this point I dont think my rad will be very pretty so ill probly be hiding it as much as possable...maby I could paint it or something to make it presentable.

well my radiator will be comming out of a used car...It might need to be put out of site. If I could show off my handy work on the waterblock, (done with hand tools) that would be cool but that would require some kind of plastic cap and im not into plastic blocks. although most plastic block tops look nice, I dont think one that I make would be. "function first, athsthetics later. <im sure thats not spelled right.

that pump is just funny...I might display that just for a good laugh.
however ill redesign the bottle housing somehow and make it a little more water tight.

I really like that volcano res that CD made, that was off the hook...I might steal a bit of that idea and build my own sick/tec. overkill res. theres lots you could do with a water feature!
Anyone got any Ideas for a cool looking cheep res? (something I can build not something I need to buy.)
