That is seriously funny. I wouldn't really expect an organization to recruit terrorists for Islamic extremism using video games......I mean I would expect them to approach from a religious front........after all that's where their fanatical ideologies come from.

Nit picking I know, but it could be any kind of extremism that uses video games to 'recruit' whether thats Christian, Catholic, Jedi or whatever.

EDIT: Wouldnt suprise me if no recruiting is done via games anyway. I mean its not like a face to face meeting where they can preach there ideology to there target audience.

In an online game can you tell what religion people believe in?

Wow. I'd expect that long kitchen knife article to be in The Onion or something. Are things really that bad over there? Do people not realize that there will always be violence and banning stupid things like knives will never help? How ridiculous is that?

As an aside, I think I'd rather be shot than stabbed a bunch in a fight. Sure, I technically stand a better chance of surviving or putting up resistance in a knife fight, but really - getting stabbed and sliced up a bunch would suck.

Also, 24% of 16 year olds are carrying weapons? What's up with that? Hardly anyone is armed on a regular basis here, despite the availability of guns and knives. Having a Swiss army knife in your car doesn't count.

The absurd thing is that you have 'feral' kids running around the streets getting away with more or less everything, yet the authorities will fine you for having your bin lid slightly open.
To quote someone that had a better writer than I do, "That's what governments are good for, gettin' in a man's way... [so that] they can be interfered with or ignored equally."

Those kids are broke, the person that can pay their bills can a pay a fine.

Well the article was accusing BF2 of being an al Qaeda training video.....which is a rogue extremist sect of the Muslim religion. I was really just pointing out that the target demographic of extremist groups such as al Qaeda wouldn't likely be recruiting using video games. Most of the insurgent groups are based in poorer demographics.......thus won't have luxuries like video games.

I'm surprised it's not higher than that. What's really sad is Africa's younger children being forced into rogue militias. It makes me sick when I read of some of the things that people are subjected to over there (Darfur specifically)......it also makes me appreciate the securities offered by this country.
