Sound Blaster Audigy SE: good or bad

ok i jsut picked up a Sound Blaster Audigy SE at Best Buy to go with my Maximus Extreme. so is this a good card? does it work well with Vista 32bit?

That card will work just as well as integrated audio, no better and no worse (IMO).

i happy to just have a sound card... my Maximus Extreme doesnt have onboard it has an add in card that i dont have.. open box motherboard

I've had mine for a LONG time, im talking like 2.5 years. Its a good card but I haven't tested to see if its actually any better than my 780i.

I used to have an xtremegamer and now I have this. I can only tell a very small difference between the two, sounds great. Much better than onboard.

I got one just for the sake of surround sound. My onboard doesn't support 5.1, and I didn't have the money for a super-duper sound card at the time.

It's a tad better than onboard, and you get some software with it too (obviously).

I just picked one of these up on ebay for ~$4. Sounds better than my onboard, but I haven't tried any gaming or movies.
