Sound Blaster Audigy SE: good or bad - Page 2

I have had mine for over 2 years now and ever onboard sound i have tried can't compete with this cheap little card. The P965, 650i, P35, G31, and 750i sound chipsets have all not sounded as good as my Audigy SE. I have considered upgrading but my X-530's probably won't sound much better since they aren't the most expensive speakers.

The low EAX does make your games sounds better than onboard as well as music. A nice cheap upgrade if you ask me and i highly recommend it.

It has no onboard DSP so it offloads all the processing to you CPU which can drop frame rates as apposed to some of the pricier card (Which I wish I had bought). I traded it in for my onboard audio because I would get a weird buzzing noise sometimes during games.
