Recommend me a card based on my setup

Right now I am using an on-board soundcard I know, but I am thinking about upgrading. I'm not concerned with one for gaming, but would like one for music (especially music) and movies. Also, is that receiver pretty good, or should I upgrade? (if I should could you give me some reasons)

Budget on the card is roughly 100 bucks

I don't know much about sound cards but I know some about HT. If I were in you place I would upgrade the speakers before the receiver. Both are entry level items and buying a new receiver probably wouldn't do much to help you. Buying better speakers would make a noticeable and instant difference, even if you ran them of that receiver.

I too am thinking about buying a sound card and have a similar budget. I made a thread but didn't get too many replies. I think there was one recommendation. I see a lot of the same replies for top performers but not much under $100.

enjoy music more? get SE-200PCI LTD
enjoy gaming more? get X-Fi prelude
both are damn good for movies.

it doesn't really matter what setup you use in this case.
