msi k9a2 raid driver issues

Thread Starter
Hello everyone.

I just installed a MSI K9A2 platinum into my new rig and im having problem installing RAID controller drivers. Im running Win XP pro X64 and have 2 Seagate 320 Gb HDD in the sb600 ports on the board. Device Manager sees both HDD and I can set up a RAID 0 through the BIOS but, naturally, cant access the drives without the driver. I have the latest 64-bit drivers from the msi website and i try to install them by pointing the "Install new hardware" tool right at the folder, but they wont install.

Am I forgetting a step or is it something else?

Please help. This is driving me insane.

Yes,but it's easier to buy a drive. You can, however, slipstream your Windows disc to include the drivers. If I were you, I'd just spend the $5 and get a floppy.

Impossible. XP doesn't support CD during install.

However, you are running Vista and that does allow optical drive support... but that does not apply to the situation at all. kthxbai.
