How can you fix "dead pixels"

well theirs a straight line of pixels on my monitor that won't light up. Anybody know how to fix these..?

all help is appreciated.

I have a Apple 20 inch monitor.

I thought once they're dead, they're dead forever. One of my friends thought he had a funny pixel so he massaged it or something and did some sort of changing color test.

If it's "dead" (ex. it's black) youre screwed, but if it's just stuck on a certain color try one of the methods said above.

Hmm... it's very rare for dead pixels to show up after a time, normally they are as produced. There is a limit, which may still apply, If you have more than about 5 dead pixels (look up a chart for accurate numbers), they will probably replace it if it is under warenty still.
