Re-Install F@H - Page 3

Looks like fahmon is tracking. Also, task manager shows 4 instances of FahCore_a1.exe, but I'm running a dual core cpu. At 3350mhz on my e2180, I'm averaging 27min/%. Are these normal? Fahmon says I'm on project 2665

Everything sounds normal.

There has been a lot of dramas about Project: 2665. It takes very long to fold and the points given doesn't add up to how much time it takes.

Other then that, you're good to go!

You sure it's only two instances with a dual core? I remember reading a dual core user having 4. Confused~

I've never officially checked when I was folding normally, however a few times I have shut down the client and noticed my CPU activity didn't drop from 100% output... if I then open task manager their is always two instances running I have to kill.... I can't imagen why their will be more than two instances running on a dual core anyway (also confused )

Ah, ok. And about the 4 instances, I figure, as long as I'm folding I'm folding. And is there anyway to minimize it to a little icon next to the clock?

Unfortunatly not... and it isn't advisable to run SMP as a service either... because it doesn't work then

edit: and what you could do is stop folding and check task manager... if their are any instances running kill them... then re-run fah.exe and check again how many instances are running (I'm just worried that their is still instances being run as services too...)

Hope a dual core SMP folder reads this and provide us with how many instance they have running in their task.

To minimize SMP, give TrayIt a shot. http://www.trayit.com/trayit/trayit_4_6_5_1.zip

I used it once, but forgot how to set it up.

Why not run SMP as a service? And I tried killing and re-running fah. Got 4 instances the first time and now. And thanks for trayit Taidinh, it works perfectly.
