e8400 OC and Vista Admin = Freeze

(see system for specs. I'm running 64-bit Vista Home Premium)

I've been trying to figure out why no overclock would work with my new e8400. Randomly after starting in safe mode and seeing it work, I logged into a new user account. Presto! My overclock is as stable as stock. I normally use the hidden Administrator account, it gets rid of uac and just makes life easier for me. Both accounts should use the same drivers. I haven't installed anything per user. I don't have any start-up programs in any account. What would be a reason for this? I'm going to try and sort through the event logs and see if there's any evidence. But in the mean time, anybody got any ideas?

Edit 1: Event Logs reveal nothing

Well, I found the root of this problem. I was reading other threads, and found one mentioning that ntune could undo your overclock if you had a graphics card profile saved. I remembered ntune made my computer BSOD if I adjusted the fsb. Using the new account I went in and deleted the custom profile I had set to load the gpu fan speed. Now everything works fine. And I feel stupid for not noticing this.
