New Rig or New TV - Page 2

So the fact that I am getting a "gaming video card" makes my rig a "gaming pc" then so be it. Its also a decent card for the price. Life time warranty also makes it worth wild. Any one else?

Semantics aren't really the point here. Like I said, it would be pointless to purchase a video card intended for playing games if you aren't going to play games on it. That's pretty simple. It would just be a waste of money.

Rig. And the reason is the following:

Every time we'd play Halo at my friend's 7 month old 52" Sony LCD HDTV, which he paid quite a sum of money, we seemed to loose a lot. It's OK to loose 1 or 2 games in a row but loosing 10, 20 games seemed unprecedented within our skill level. He is the one who actually brought up this phenomenon. Initially, I dismissed it by associating to luck but after playing 6 or 7 hours, I concurred with his theory. We then moved the XBOX 360 to another room where he has a small a** tv, we started to win again. Upon doing some research, we arrived at the refresh rate conclusion. I guess until Samsung starts introducing the first ever 240mhz LCD HDTV(s), I'm saying away from making a huge investment. I'd suggest the same to you. Especially if you are into sports and gaming.
