If you plan on going SLI, you're going to have to get an outdated board, like a 650i or something. Most SLI mobos go for more than $200 nowadays.

SLI is overrated, unless you run a 1920x1200 resolution

  • HDD: $44.99 - WD WD1600AAJS - 7200RPM; 160GB; SATA2; 8MB Cache (I have two and they own)
  • PSU: $46.99 - Silverstone ST400 - 400w (If you look at it's rail specs, you see it beats most 500w PSUs)
  • RAM: $51.99 - Mushkin 2x 2GB DDR2-800 - 4-4-4-12; 1.9v (Smells like underclocked DDR2-1066; plus it comes with 3DMark08 advanced)
  • CPU: $131.99 - Intel E7200 - 2.53Ghz; 1066FSB; 9.5x Multiplier; 45nm (You should be able to hit 4.0Ghz with this)
  • Mobo: $89.99 - Gibabyte GA-EP35-DS3L - P35 NB; ICH9 SB (It's cheaper than the older GA-P35-DS3L)
  • GPU: $154.99 - EVGA 9600GT - 512MB VRAM; 256-Bit Interface; New 2 Slot Cooler (This sits between an 8800GT and a 3870)
This is pretty much what I would recommend.
