Man that chart exaggerates the power of Nvidia's cards compared to the 3870X2

Nvidia's graphs suck

Looks good and if everything nVidia said about GT200 is true result such as that is well expected.

They claimed that improved unified shader architecture gives 50% more performance compared to first gen, then there's 240 SP, plus add 1GB memory and quite a boost (+100%) in memory bandwith. This baby really can have about 150% more power than 8800GTX (and it performs remotely comparable to 3870X2 under heavy settings)

I don't know people what are u whining about. nVidia info slider are generally quite accurate, of course there's marketing, heck every manufacturer add something, the questin is how much. At least i don't remember anything nVidia said being too far from the truth.

So it can really turn out to be so and then 650/450$ is quite a nice price actually. Performance, if all turns out to be so, makes HD4000 look obsolete, X2 won't help much either. Now what nVidia really need is to make a mid-range card based on GT200 achievements to compete in value sector.

Complete fail IMO. The 3870x2 could be getting 1 fps in Crysis while the GTX 260 gets 1.5 and GTX 280 could be getting 1.82. Without fps and up-to-date drivers this is meaningless.

ROFL look at the graphs......I'm sorry but this is just hilarious. I'll believe it when I see it. 2.4 times the speed of the 3870X2, which is faster than the 8800 Ultra in many instances.....so they're saying that the jump from one gen to the next (inclusive with G92) will yield over 2x performance? If so then that's amazing......

BTW to those confused they're referencing the speed of the cards as a multiplier of the 3870X2........they apparently ran benches with it running Catalysts from 2006 in 2d mode (JK of course)

I think they were for the X2. I had no issues there though. It seems fishy that they would pick drivers from March to test though....they probably just found the worst performing drivers to compare.
