Please no fanboy statements Jarhead.

Ha! I love how the scale is adjusted to skew the data for the casual reader who doesn't know any better.

I like nvidia but that graph is a bunch of crap. They're trying to make it look much better than it is. It's almost comical once you really take a closer look at it. The scale starting at 0.8...lol. Nice sales gimmick

This blatant manipulation. The graph doesn't show any performance numbers, it just says that it's better than the other guys, and then they leave out any way to test the claim. This is basic left/right false paradigm bull*****, also known as divide and conquer. Marketing department propaganda. They are playing to your bias to reinforce your belief in their "superior" brand, even though they can't prove a single thing. There's no demonstration, no independent third party test, not even a ballpark FPS guess.

Just a bar graph that any high school student could make.

You're new here, so please let me let you in on who I am - I have no brand loyalty. Check the other thread with the ATi 4870 3DMark numbers - because that's bull***** too until I see it come from a source that has no interest one way or another. I'm running AMD stuff because it was cheap. At the time I'd have rather been running a Core2 and an 8800GTX, but hey, poor.

But when the corporate yahoos treat me and those around me like we're retarded children I get upset.

I don't really think he was being a fanboy. I mean, the graph - whether or not it has real data - is set up in a way that removes all its credibility. His first point was that the scaling and labels massively accentuate nvidia's "advantage". And secondly, there's no real information on what the numbers mean or how they were obtained.

I really like nvidia cards, but this is a just sleazy marketing gimmick.

K.. Well we will know more when real benchies come out from other infamous sites. I can fanboy all i want but i am not at the moment. This gives us nvidia guys a way to get excited about next gen hardware. stop trying to prove people wrong. You have no more proof than anyone else here.

And no more double posts Mister

i don't know about this, i don't really trust vr-zone as a source anymore b/c of the graph way back when they compared the 4870 and 9800GTX, looked fake....

I'm not going to make any judgments until I see some third party benchmarks with actual frame rates. This chart seems ambiguous at best.

THE GRAPH DOESN'T SKEW THE DATA, IT JUST MERELY REQUIRES THAT YOU MUST HAVE A BRAIN TO UNDERSTAND IT!!! HOW HARD IS IT TO REALIZE THAT THE GTX 280 IS LIKE 82% FASTER IN CRYSIS THAN THE 3870X2?

Use your damn brains.
