Use your damn brains.
Clearly you haven't figured out yet that most humans are incapable of using their brains...

And the only reason to present the data in that format is to make it look better than it is for Nvidia, i.e. skew the data. So, in effect, the graph does in fact skew the data. Perhaps you would be happier with terming it "skewing data trends?"

Haha, good point.

It's all relative.

joke, that's like saying

Crysis performance:

Introducing the GTX280

This can apply to all forms of advertising and marketing gimmicks, and they all get away with it because the data is indeed true -- however misleading the presentation may be. The graph presents no absolute number upon which all the relative data can be based, so by itself it has diminished efficacy.

At first I laughed at how much this graph is skewed in Nvidia's favor. But then I interpreted assuming that the performance of the HD4870 will be roughly equal to that of the 3870X2. In that case, it appears as if the 4870X2 is going to get pretty damn close to the performance of the GTX280 (assuming 4870X2 = 4870 * 2 performance wise).

Actually if 1 = 100 FPS then 1.5 is 150FPS not 101.5 Thats how i read it at least. That the nvidia card perfroms at 1.5, 0.5 more than the X2

Regardless they don't clarify settings tested etc etc.
